A simple drink for a fresh morning

In a perfect world, the 24hours in the day are divided intro: 8 hours of work, 8 hours of free time activity and 8 hours of sleep.

Unfortunately, statistics shows that an average adult, regardless whether it is a man or a woman, sleeps between 6 and 7 hours per day.

This may not seem like a big difference, but you will see – it makes a huge difference for the whole organism.

If you don’t get enough sleep during the night, you’ll probably be sleepy and foggy the other day. You would drink more coffee than usual and the problem it’s fixed. But lack of sleep has more stressing effect on your body than you could ever imagine.

The European Heart Journal’s review of 15 medical studies, back in 2011 published the results recorder at about 475.000 people around the world and stated that “ones with shortened sleep cycles had a 48% increased risk of developing or dying from coronary heart disease.  Also, these people are at a 15% greater risk of developing or dying from stroke.”

But wait, hear this as well, cited in the very same study. “Long sleepers and people who sleep an average of nine hours or more per night, have a 38% increased risk in developing or dying from a coronary heart disease.”

Basically, balance is the key to a longer life. But, also when it comes to sleeping cycles.

So, here’s an old homemade recipe for a better sleep! Just mix

  • 5 teaspoons of organic honey
  • 1 teaspoon pink (Himalayan) salt

You can make as much as you want from this mix, but the ratio should always be honey vs salt – 5:1.  Next, you should put a bit, half a teaspoon under your tongue every night, before going to bed. Let it first dissolve naturally, and then if you feel the need to – drink a glass of water.

This very simple combination increases serotonin – the happiness hormone, and thus, helps the body to naturally de-stress. That’s why you can sleep better.

Also, the Himalayan salt has more than 80 minerals and other needed elements for a balanced organism function, especially in the recovery process.
